Imbolc, celebrated on February 1st or 2nd, marks the transition from winter to spring and honors Brigid, the goddess of fertility, healing, and inspiration. It’s a time to welcome the return of light, reflect on personal growth, and set intentions for the season ahead.
We will:
Candle Lighting Ceremony: Gather in a circle, each lighting a candle to symbolize the growing light and sharing personal intentions for the season.
Weaving Brigid’s Crosses: Craft a traditional Brigid’s cross out of straw to bless your home.
Seasonal Feast: Share warm foods like breads, dairy, soups, and herbal teas that honor the season’s abundance.
Storytelling and Poetry: Read tales of Brigid or invite participants to share their own poems and stories of renewal.
Crafting Intention Charms: Make small pouches with seeds, herbs, or crystals to carry personal intentions.
Group Meditation: Participate in a guided meditation focusing on the themes of renewal and inspiration.
Offering Ritual: Place offerings such as flowers, coins, or written wishes on the sacred altar.
